WEDDING DATE: August 18, 2018
Eliza & Dylan Covington Vermont Wedding

The Romance...
Dylan and I both grew up in Vermont and left the state for several years to adventure elsewhere. Upon returning to be closer to family, we each created profiles on OK Cupid (before online dating was cool) to meet other young people in the state. Dylan first noticed my profile because I was standing on top of a mountain in Colorado and he knew that I shared the same passion for the outdoors. I agreed to his request because the smile in his picture was infectious! We had our first date at The Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier, VT and instantly connected through our shared love of craft beers and nature.

Erica & Jared Gordon - Vermont Wedding

The Romance...
Like many others these days, we met online—on Jdate. From reading his profile, I saw we had so much in common, from having gone to the same high school, to both having lived in South Florida. We began messaging each other, but our first date had to be put off because I was leaving for a trip with my mom.

Jared called me twice on vacation, and both times I couldn’t talk. I texted him to let him know, but was worried he’d think I wasn’t interested! I let him know I’d call once I got home, and I did. We set up our first date for Friday, October 2, 2015. We went bowling and split a pizza. I thought he was very cute and felt a connection to him right away. Early on, I have to say, I could see Jared being “the one.

After a couple months, Jared expressed his interest in looking to buy a house and wanted me to look with him and move in with him. Jared bought a new townhouse in January 2016, and we moved in together in July 2016.
