Burke Mountain, Burke, Vermont

Eagan-Ruggles-4

The weather in Vermont is unpredictable and, especially in the late Spring, the chance of rain is always imminent. Despite the drizzle, or perhaps because of it, Erica and Andrew's Burke Mountain wedding was ethereal and romantic. Soft mist enveloped their ceremony and the dewy landscape came alive with life and new growth all around them. Quite the perfect reception for a new marriage! Here is what Erica had to say about the highlights of the day:

Burlington International Airport, Burlington, Vermont

BTV-Wedding-1

When the Burlington Internation Airport announced last year their plans to rent a space for weddings, at a decent price, Jamie and Germain knew they wanted to be the first to have their wedding there. Area vendors quickly jumped at the chance to assist the couple in remaking the, rather unusual, space into something romantic and magical. We think they did a great job at taking a non-traditional venue and creatively transforming it into a space any modern couple could get excited about. Here is what Jamie had to say about their unique, first-ever, BTV wedding:

Knoll's Barn, Derby, Vermont

Country style and charm is still very much alive in the mountains of Vermont and Tarin and Derek's Derby wedding is proof of that. A beautiful, outdoor ceremony overlooking a pond was a perfect beginning to a fun-filled party with family and friends. The bride and bridesmaids all wore cowgirl boots and were transported by an old wagon filled with bales of hay and the couple gave out hand painted horseshoes as favors. Knoll's Barn was a fitting backdrop for the teal and brown, country inspired celebration the couple desired. Here is what Tarin had to tell us about their special day:

Aloha Hive Camp, Fairlee, Vermont

Chaffee Loschiavo 1

We love the rustic details and pops of color in Sheena and Nathan's cozy, camp wedding. From the birch branch arbor to the post-ceremony boat cruise for the wedding party, their celebration epitomizes a classic Vermont style that takes full advantage of the natural landscape and all it has to offer.

The Alerin Barn, St. Johnsbury, Vermont

Maria-Michael-LS-1

The weather outside might be warming up and the leaves are turning green instead of bright reds and oranges, but we have been saving this rusticly charming wedding to share on our blog for far too long! Birch arbors, cafe lighted barns, and a tractor driven transport epitomize a country classic Vermont wedding. Add in unique details, such as origami paper flower bouquets and a plethora of pies in place of a cake, and you have the perfect recipe for a sweet day of matrimony in the Green Mountains.
